Canada's health innovation network · Toronto-anchored, Canada-wide

The room where Canadian health innovation actually happens.

MedTech North brings the four groups that move health technology forward into one curated room: the founders building it, the clinicians and researchers who validate it, the corporates and investors who fund it, and the policy leaders who clear its path. Not a conference with 2,000 badges. A network built dinner by dinner, seat by seat.

Register interest in the dinners

Canada has world-class health research. It has ambitious founders. They rarely sit at the same table.

A founder can spend 18 months trying to get 30 minutes with the right clinical lead.

A hospital innovation office fields hundreds of cold pitches and trusts none of them.

Investors see the same recycled deal flow. Policy teams hear about barriers years too late.

The pieces of the ecosystem exist. The connective tissue does not. MedTech North is the connective tissue.

The room

One network. Three ways in.

Four groups at one table. Each plays a different role.

Meet the people who decide whether your product lives.

Membership by application. The application filters for founders who are building, not browsing.

See what is being built before it reaches your practice.

By nomination and invitation. This side of the room is asked, not sold to. Policy and government leaders hear the barriers before the report does.

A room you cannot assemble yourself.

By conversation. Presence is shaped by who is at the table, not the size of a list.

The table includes physicians, dentists, pharmacists, nurses and allied health professionals, researchers and academics, students and trainees, founders and operators in medtech, digital health, biotech and pharma, investors and corporate teams, public sector and policy leaders, and service providers to the sector.

Toronto first. Canada next.

Dinners launch in Toronto; chapters follow where Canadian health innovation is concentrated: Ottawa, Montreal, Calgary, Vancouver.

Membership.

Track 01 · by application

Founders & Operators

For the people building Canadian health technology, first product to scale-up.

  • Direct access to the clinicians, buyers and investors who decide whether your product lives.
  • Warm, personal introductions rather than a member directory you have to cold-message.
  • A peer circle of Canadian health-tech founders dealing with the same regulatory, procurement and funding walls.

Founder membership comes in levels that scale with how far you want the room to reach, from a guaranteed seat in your own province to a presence in every city. Levels and pricing are shared once we've spoken.

Track 02 · The Guest tier · clinicians, researchers, academics, students & policy leaders

Always our guests. Always by invitation.

Invitation and nomination only. Every invitation is personally reviewed, and never carries a fee. Guest is for people who are not selling a commercial product or service into this sector: practising clinicians of every discipline, researchers, academics, students and trainees, and public sector and policy professionals. If your role is to sell into the sector, including as a service provider or vendor, membership is the path.

  • Early visibility into what Canadian founders are actually building, before it arrives as a vendor pitch.
  • A seat where your clinical or policy perspective shapes products at the stage where it still can.
  • Regulatory and procurement barriers heard directly from the founders living them, months before they show up in a report.

Participation for clinicians, researchers, academics, students and policy leaders carries no cost, in every phase of this organization, permanently. You are here because your perspective is what gives this room its purpose.

Track 03 · by conversation

Corporates & Investors

Access to a room you cannot assemble yourself.

  • Qualified deal flow and clinical relationships in one place.
  • Structured presence at dinners and the summit alongside vetted founders and practicing clinicians.
  • Presence grounded in the composition of the room, not the size of a list.

The levels

Four ways to hold a seat.

Guests never pay. The founder levels scale with how far you want the room to reach. What each one opens, and its price, is shared once we've spoken.

What membership opens

The room works year-round.

The dinners are the heart of it. But a seat opens a full calendar of rooms, cohorts, introductions and tangible benefits: the connective tissue working for you between one dinner and the next. Here is the extent of it.

In the rooms

  • A composed seat at the quarterly dinners, placed beside the people most relevant to your work, never seated first-come.
  • Access to dinners in other cities as chapters open across Canada.
  • The annual summit: curated attendance, founder, clinician and investor matchmaking, and a policy track.
  • Seat-preference requests: tell us who you need to meet, and we seat you toward them.
  • Guest passes to bring a trusted colleague into the room.

Online, year-round

  • Live cohorts and panels with clinicians, operators and investors.
  • A recorded cohort library you can return to any time.
  • Propose a cohort topic, and for senior members, moderate one.

The network

  • For builders, a published profile with pitch media: video, deck and one-pager.
  • Nominate a clinician or researcher into the room.
  • Warm, personal introductions, made with consent, never scraped.
  • The member benefits bundle: cloud credits, an hour of IP or regulatory counsel, and a banking offer, negotiated for members.

Status & stage

  • A physical member card, presented at the table.
  • A welcome kit, with a summit pack at the higher levels.
  • Consideration to speak at the summit, with priority for senior members.
  • Co-host a dinner in your own city, and a say in the summit programme.
  • An annual composition report on who is in the room.

What each level opens is walked through in the conversation. Guests are never charged.

Quarterly · the core of the network

The dinners.

One long table, or several small ones, depending on the room. No stage, no slide deck, no keynote.

Guest list composed

3 to 4 weeks out, balanced across the four groups against a target ratio, not filled first-come.

Seating is the product

You are placed next to the two or three people most relevant to what you are working on.

The evening

One organization may host or introduce the evening; they get the same seat at the table as everyone else, not a microphone.

Follow-ups

Introductions are made personally within the week. The room keeps working after the plates are cleared.

Annual · coming in year two

The Summit.

Once the dinners have proven the room, the summit scales it: a full-day, Canada-wide gathering with curated attendance, structured founder-clinician-investor matchmaking, and a policy track where barriers get named in front of the people who can remove them.

Every table built on the same 1:1 composition rule as the dinners.

Members get first access to seats.

From the room

What people said afterwards.

Public notes left on LinkedIn in the days after a room, by people who were at the table.

From recent rooms

The rooms, in motion.

A few seconds from recent dinners and sessions. They play as you reach them. Sound is yours to turn on.

Rules we do not bend.

No pay-to-pitch.

Nobody buys stage time. Hosting a dinner earns you a welcome, not a keynote.

No one here is anyone's prospect.

Clinicians are not pitched, founders are not sold to by service providers, and no one at the table is treated as a chequebook. Anyone who mistakes contribution for a sales opportunity loses their place in the network.

No attendee data harvesting.

Nobody's contact details leave the room without their say-so. Introductions are made personally, with consent, and never from a shared list.

Chatham House by default.

What is said at the table stays at the table, so people can speak plainly about procurement, regulation and money.

Built because the introductions weren't happening.

MedTech North is the room where Canada's health-innovation people meet on purpose rather than by accident. Toronto-anchored, Canada-wide, built on one conviction: the network is the asset, and trust is what makes the network work.

Everyone at this table is here because someone else needs them.

Commitment beats scale.

Composition is the product.

Trust compounds. So does its loss.

Frequently asked questions

When do dinners begin?

Register your interest and you will be the first to know when rooms open, with the date, venue and guest composition.

Do I have to be in Toronto?

Dinners launch in Toronto, and chapters follow where Canadian health innovation is concentrated: Ottawa, Montreal, Calgary and Vancouver. Register with your city and it counts toward where we open next.

What does the founder application ask?

What you are building, your stage, what you need from the room, and what you bring to it. It takes about ten minutes.

How are seats at the table decided?

The guest list is composed three to four weeks out and balanced across the four groups against a target ratio, never filled first-come. On the night you are placed beside the two or three people most relevant to what you are working on, and if there is someone you need to meet, tell us and we seat you toward them.

What happens between the dinners?

The room works year-round: live cohorts and panels with clinicians, operators and investors, a recorded library you can return to, and introductions made in between. The dinners are the heart of it, not the whole of it.

How are introductions made, and what leaves the room?

Introductions are made personally, with consent, within the week after a dinner. Nobody's contact details leave the room without their say-so, and never from a shared list. What is said at the table stays at the table, so people can speak plainly about procurement, regulation and money.

Can a service provider join as a founder member?

The founder track is for people building health-technology companies. Service providers join through membership, which exists specifically so the founder side of the room is never outnumbered by people selling to it.

I'm a clinician who also founded a company. Which track am I?

If you are commercially building, you are a founder member for that venture. Many members wear both hats; we seat you according to why you are in the room that night.
